Moran's Mechanical Machine Shop

The Gibson Road Machine Group

Who We Are

Moran's Mechanical is owned and operated by husband and wife team Mike and Wendy Moran, established in 2022. Our shop’s activities are managed by both Brandon Seese—owner and former operations manager for many years—and Mike Moran. Together, they rely on the expertise of recently retired (2024) machinist John Hurtado Sr. of Enterprise, Alabama. Retired at age 77, John brings 60 years of machining experience and continues to provide consultation, support, and guidance.

Michael has 15 years of hands-on experience as a machinist and 6 years specifically in machine building. His background includes producing parts for portable sixty-foot sawmills, sorting and packaging systems, and components for buckets and attachments used in heavy equipment. Much of Mike’s work has been in the transportation industry and DOD (mil-spec) environments, primarily as a CNC 5-axis mill setup man in production settings.

He studied the fundamentals of machining as a full-time student at Salem County Vocational Technical School in Woodstown, NJ, receiving specialized training that has proven invaluable. Under Director Mr. Dunn and machine trades instructor Mr. Cameron—known for his detailed, practical instruction—Mike built a strong foundation in the trade.

To date, Michael has earned over 70 college credits. He has worked as a Haas service technician and gained mold-making experience in the plastics industry at a thermoforming (vacuum-forming) plant. He is currently employed in the wire manufacturing industry in Carrollton, GA, while also providing machining and fabrication services to the public from our shop on Gibson Road in Ephesus three days a week.

Moran’s Mechanical proudly serves West Georgia and East Alabama with custom machining, metal fabrication, precision parts, and repair services. Our team brings decades of combined experience to every project. To see what we can do, visit our services page.
